The Minister of State, Ministry of Rural Development, recently informed the Rajya Sabha about the significant contribution of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) in transforming rural livelihoods.

🏫 About RSETIs
Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) are institutions focused on empowering rural youth through skill development and promoting entrepreneurship. They provide free residential training programs aimed at creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
These institutes operate through a unique partnership between banks and the government. In each district, one RSETI is established, and the lead bank of that district is responsible for setting up and managing the institute.
🎓 Training & Eligibility
RSETIs offer short-duration, practical, and residential training programs specifically designed for unemployed rural youth aged between 18 and 50 years.
The institutes provide 73 courses aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), covering sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, services, and entrepreneurship development programs (EDPs).
📊 Progress & Reach
Currently, 632 RSETIs are operational across 619 districts in 33 States and Union Territories, supported by 25 banks. This wide outreach makes RSETIs a major pillar in rural skill development across India.
🤝 Support & Recognition
RSETIs go beyond just skill training. They provide post-training support, including guidance (handholding) and credit linkage to help trainees start their own ventures.
Importantly, certificates issued by RSETIs are recognized by all banks, which helps trainees easily access loans and financial assistance to become self-employed.

हाल ही में Ministry of Rural Development के राज्य मंत्री ने Rajya Sabha में Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को उजागर किया।
🏫 RSETI के बारे में
RSETI ग्रामीण युवाओं को कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता के माध्यम से सशक्त बनाने वाले संस्थान हैं। ये संस्थान मुफ्त आवासीय प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करते हैं, जिससे युवाओं को स्थायी रोजगार के अवसर मिलते हैं।
ये संस्थान बैंक और सरकार की साझेदारी के माध्यम से संचालित होते हैं। देश के प्रत्येक जिले में एक RSETI स्थापित किया जाता है, और उस जिले का लीड बैंक इसकी स्थापना और संचालन की जिम्मेदारी निभाता है।
🎓 प्रशिक्षण और पात्रता
RSETI 18 से 50 वर्ष के बेरोजगार ग्रामीण युवाओं को अल्पकालिक, व्यावहारिक और आवासीय प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करते हैं।
इन संस्थानों में 73 NSQF-अलाइन कोर्स उपलब्ध हैं, जो कृषि, विनिर्माण, सेवा क्षेत्र और उद्यमिता विकास कार्यक्रम (EDPs) को कवर करते हैं।
📊 प्रगति और विस्तार
वर्तमान में देश के 33 राज्यों/केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के 619 जिलों में 632 RSETI कार्यरत हैं, जिन्हें 25 बैंक प्रायोजित कर रहे हैं। यह इनकी व्यापक पहुंच को दर्शाता है।
🤝 सहायता और मान्यता
RSETI केवल प्रशिक्षण ही नहीं देते, बल्कि प्रशिक्षण के बाद मार्गदर्शन (handholding) और बैंक ऋण (credit linkage) की सुविधा भी प्रदान करते हैं, जिससे युवा अपना व्यवसाय शुरू कर सकें।
RSETI द्वारा जारी प्रमाणपत्र सभी बैंकों द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त होते हैं, जिससे प्रशिक्षित युवाओं को आसानी से ऋण और वित्तीय सहायता मिलती है।
