1. Narayana Health City Performs India's First Pulsed Field Ablation Procedure

Narayana Health City, Bengaluru, achieved a major milestone in cardiac healthcare by successfully conducting India's first Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) procedure for the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). PFA uses ultra-fast electrical pulses to selectively eliminate abnormal heart tissue without damaging nearby organs and structures. The procedure was completed in just 35 minutes, making it significantly faster and safer than conventional thermal ablation techniques. This breakthrough is expected to improve cardiac rhythm management and patient outcomes across India.

2. Andaman and Nicobar Records India's Lowest Fertility Rate

According to the National Family Health Survey-6 (NFHS-6), the Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded a Total Fertility Rate (TFR) of 0.9, the lowest in India.
