1. Kumar Shanker Appointed Managing Director of Indraprastha Gas Limited

Kumar Shanker has been appointed as the Managing Director of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), succeeding Kamal Kishore Chatiwal. Before joining IGL, he served as the Managing Director of Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL). He played a significant role in implementing the Unified Tariff system for India's National Gas Grid. IGL, headquartered in New Delhi, is one of India's leading city gas distribution companies and the largest city gas distributor in North India.

2. Tamil Nadu Launches Singappen Special Force

The Government of Tamil Nadu launched the Singappen Special Force to strengthen the protection of women and children across the state. The force was inaugurated in Chennai by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. Its responsibilities include monitoring public spaces, identifying vulnerable locations, preventing harassment, and increasing police visibility. The initiative aims to create a safer environment through proactive policing and community participation.

3. Manipur Gets Its First Exclusive NIA Special Court

Manipur's first Exclusive Special Court dedicated to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was inaugurated in Thoubal district. Located at the Thoubal District Court Complex in Khangabok, the court will exclusively handle cases investigated by the NIA. 4. Sitapur Selected for India's First Defence-Land Solar Project with BESS

Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh has been selected for the establishment of India's first 250 MW solar power project with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on defence land. The project, approved by the Ministry of Defence, will be developed by NTPC Limited over approximately 850 acres. The initiative aims to improve energy security for defence establishments while promoting renewable energy adoption.

5. Fitch Revises India's FY27 GDP Growth Forecast

Fitch Ratings revised India's GDP growth forecast for FY27 to 6.4%, down from its earlier estimate of 6.7%. The revision was attributed to geopolitical uncertainties and rising global energy prices. Despite the downgrade, India is expected to remain one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world. Fitch also projected GDP growth of 6.7% in FY28.

6. Han Seong-sook Nominated as South Korea's Prime Minister

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung nominated Han Seong-sook as the country's next Prime Minister. If approved by the National Assembly, she will become only the second woman in South Korea's history to hold the office. Previously, she served as CEO of Naver and later as Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. She is expected to play a key role in advancing South Korea's AI and technology-driven growth strategy.

7. Haryana Signs Agreement for Urban Road Dust Mitigation

The Haryana Government signed a Memorandum of Agreement with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) to implement the CAQM framework for urban road dust mitigation. The initiative focuses on reducing particulate pollution in the National Capital Region through sustainable road infrastructure, greening measures, road asset management systems, and innovative construction technologies.

8. New Regional Meteorological Centre Inaugurated in Lucknow

A new Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) was inaugurated in Lucknow by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. The centre will enhance weather forecasting services for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and neighbouring regions. It forms part of Mission Mausam and will support disaster preparedness through advanced forecasting technologies.

9. Assam Exports GI-Tagged Tezpur Litchi to Dubai

Assam achieved a major milestone in agricultural exports by sending the first consignment of GI-tagged Tezpur Litchi to Dubai. The export was facilitated by APEDA and provided farmers with nearly 10% higher returns compared to domestic markets. The initiative is expected to boost international demand for agricultural products from Northeast India.

10. Himachal Pradesh Signs Climate Partnership with UNDP

The Government of Himachal Pradesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to promote climate-resilient and sustainable development. The collaboration focuses on circular economy practices, waste management improvements, electric mobility solutions, ecosystem restoration, and climate adaptation measures. 1. कुमार शंकर बने इंद्रप्रस्थ गैस लिमिटेड के नए प्रबंध निदेशक

कुमार शंकर को इंद्रप्रस्थ गैस लिमिटेड (IGL) का नया प्रबंध निदेशक (Managing Director) नियुक्त किया गया है। उन्होंने कमल किशोर चटियाल का स्थान लिया है। इससे पहले वे महाराष्ट्र नेचुरल गैस लिमिटेड (MNGL) के प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्य कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने भारत के राष्ट्रीय गैस ग्रिड में यूनिफाइड टैरिफ व्यवस्था लागू करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी। नई दिल्ली स्थित IGL, GAIL और BPCL का संयुक्त उपक्रम है तथा उत्तर भारत की सबसे बड़ी सिटी गैस वितरण कंपनी मानी जाती है।

2. तमिलनाडु ने शुरू की सिंगप्पेन स्पेशल फोर्स

तमिलनाडु सरकार ने महिलाओं और बच्चों की सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने के लिए सिंगप्पेन स्पेशल फोर्स का शुभारंभ किया। इसका उद्घाटन मुख्यमंत्री सी. जोसेफ विजय ने चेन्नई के राजारथिनम स्टेडियम में किया। यह विशेष बल सार्वजनिक स्थानों की निगरानी, संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों की पहचान, छेड़छाड़ की घटनाओं की रोकथाम तथा पुलिस की दृश्य उपस्थिति बढ़ाने का कार्य करेगा। इसका उद्देश्य महिलाओं और बच्चों के लिए सुरक्षित वातावरण तैयार करना है।

3. मणिपुर में पहली विशेष NIA अदालत का उद्घाटन

मणिपुर के थोउबल जिले में राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी (NIA) की पहली विशेष अदालत का उद्घाटन किया गया। यह अदालत खंगाबोक स्थित थोउबल जिला न्यायालय परिसर में स्थापित की गई है। इसका उद्देश्य NIA द्वारा जांच किए गए आतंकवाद और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़े मामलों का त्वरित निपटारा करना है। इससे राज्य की न्यायिक व्यवस्था और अधिक प्रभावी बनेगी।

4. सीतापुर में बनेगी रक्षा भूमि पर पहली 250 मेगावाट सौर परियोजना

उत्तर प्रदेश के सीतापुर जिले को रक्षा भूमि पर देश की पहली 250 मेगावाट सौर ऊर्जा परियोजना स्थापित करने के लिए चुना गया है। इस परियोजना में बैटरी ऊर्जा भंडारण प्रणाली (Battery Energy Storage System - BESS) भी शामिल होगी। लगभग 850 एकड़ भूमि पर विकसित की जाने वाली यह परियोजना NTPC द्वारा स्थापित की जाएगी। इसका उद्देश्य रक्षा प्रतिष्ठानों की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा बढ़ाना और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा को बढ़ावा देना है।

5. फिच रेटिंग्स ने FY27 के लिए भारत की GDP वृद्धि दर का अनुमान घटाया

फिच रेटिंग्स ने वित्त वर्ष 2026-27 (FY27) के लिए भारत की GDP वृद्धि दर का अनुमान 6.7% से घटाकर 6.4% कर दिया है। वैश्विक भू-राजनीतिक तनाव और ऊर्जा कीमतों में वृद्धि को इस संशोधन का प्रमुख कारण बताया गया है। इसके बावजूद भारत दुनिया की सबसे तेज़ी से बढ़ती प्रमुख अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में शामिल रहेगा।

6. हान सियोंग-सूक दक्षिण कोरिया की नई प्रधानमंत्री पद की उम्मीदवार

दक्षिण कोरिया के राष्ट्रपति ली जे-म्युंग ने हान सियोंग-सूक को देश का नया प्रधानमंत्री नामित किया है। यदि राष्ट्रीय विधानसभा से मंजूरी मिल जाती है, तो वे दक्षिण कोरिया के इतिहास की दूसरी महिला प्रधानमंत्री बन जाएंगी। वे पहले Naver कंपनी की CEO तथा लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यम मंत्री रह चुकी हैं। उनसे कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता और तकनीकी विकास को बढ़ावा देने की उम्मीद की जा रही है।

7. हरियाणा ने शहरी सड़क धूल नियंत्रण के लिए समझौता किया

हरियाणा सरकार ने CSIR-केंद्रीय सड़क अनुसंधान संस्थान (CSIR-CRRI) के साथ एक समझौता किया है। यह परियोजना राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (NCR) में सड़क धूल से होने वाले प्रदूषण को कम करने पर केंद्रित है। इसके अंतर्गत हरित अवसंरचना, सड़क परिसंपत्ति प्रबंधन और आधुनिक निर्माण तकनीकों का उपयोग किया जाएगा।

8. लखनऊ में नए क्षेत्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र का उद्घाटन

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ और केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने लखनऊ में नए क्षेत्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र (RMC) का उद्घाटन किया। यह केंद्र उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में मौसम पूर्वानुमान सेवाओं को मजबूत करेगा। यह मिशन मौसम के अंतर्गत विकसित किया गया है और आपदा प्रबंधन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएगा।

9. असम की GI-टैग प्राप्त तेजपुर लीची का दुबई को पहला निर्यात

असम की प्रसिद्ध GI-टैग प्राप्त तेजपुर लीची की पहली खेप दुबई भेजी गई। इस निर्यात को APEDA ने सुविधा प्रदान की। निर्यात के कारण किसानों को घरेलू बाजार की तुलना में लगभग 10% अधिक मूल्य प्राप्त हुआ। यह उपलब्धि पूर्वोत्तर भारत के कृषि उत्पादों को वैश्विक बाजार से जोड़ने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

10. हिमाचल प्रदेश ने UNDP के साथ किया जलवायु विकास समझौता

हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम (UNDP) के साथ जलवायु-सहिष्णु और सतत विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इस सहयोग के तहत अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन, सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी, इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी, पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र पुनर्स्थापन और जलवायु अनुकूलन परियोजनाओं पर कार्य किया जाएगा। राज्य सरकार ने सफाई मित्र योजना भी शुरू की है।
