The Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 02/2026 notification for recruitment in Flying Branch and Ground Duty branches. Through this recruitment drive, eligible candidates will get the opportunity to join the Indian Air Force as commissioned officers. The application process will begin on 20 May 2026 and continue till 19 June 2026.

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted to recruit officers in different branches of the Indian Air Force including Flying, Technical, Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education, and Meteorology. A total of 142 vacancies have been announced for this recruitment cycle.

🎓 Educational Qualification
Flying Branch
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or a B.E./B.Tech degree.
Ground Duty Technical
Applicants must have at least 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with a four-year Engineering or Technology degree in the relevant discipline.
Ground Duty Non-Technical
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
Accounts Branch
Applicants should hold a B.Com degree with at least 60% marks.
NCC Special Entry
Candidates must possess an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate.
📏 Physical Standards
- Male Candidates: Minimum Height 157.5 cm
- Female Candidates: Minimum Height 152 cm

The selection process will include:

🎓 शैक्षणिक योग्यता
फ्लाइंग ब्रांच
उम्मीदवार के पास किसी भी विषय में स्नातक डिग्री होनी चाहिए तथा 10+2 स्तर पर Physics और Mathematics होना अनिवार्य है या उम्मीदवार के पास B.E./B.Tech डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
ग्राउंड ड्यूटी टेक्निकल
उम्मीदवार के 10+2 स्तर पर Physics और Mathematics में कम से कम 60% अंक होने चाहिए तथा संबंधित इंजीनियरिंग शाखा में चार वर्षीय डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
ग्राउंड ड्यूटी नॉन-टेक्निकल
उम्मीदवार के पास न्यूनतम 60% अंकों के साथ स्नातक डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
अकाउंट्स शाखा
उम्मीदवार के पास B.Com डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
