Bank of Baroda LBO Recruitment 2026 – 2,482 Posts; Deadline Extended
Latest Update: Bank of Baroda has officially extended the application deadline for recruitment of 2,482 Local Bank Officers (LBO) on a regular basis under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16. The Bank's official careers page now lists 17 September 2026 as the last date. An addendum dated 7 September extended the earlier 7 September deadline. Candidates who missed the original deadline therefore have additional time to register and pay the fee.
Vacancies
There are 2,482 vacancies across participating States. The official advertisement provides State-wise and category-wise distribution. A candidate can apply for only one State and must satisfy that State's local-language requirement.
Educational Qualification and Mandatory Experience
Candidates require graduation in any discipline from a recognised University/Institution. Importantly, this is not an entry-level graduate recruitment: as on the prescribed cut-off, candidates need at least one year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act. Clerical-cadre experience does not fulfil this officer-experience requirement.
Age Limit
The notified age range is 21–30 years as on 1 August 2026. Relaxation is available to SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, eligible ex-servicemen and other categories according to the advertisement and Government rules.
Local Language
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language specified for the State selected in the application. The Bank may assess local-language proficiency according to the notified process. Applicants should therefore not select a State solely because it has more vacancies.
Application Fee
The notified fee is ₹850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST/PwD/ESM and women candidates, subject to the detailed advertisement and applicable gateway charges.
Salary, Probation and Service Bond
The LBO post is in Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The notified basic-pay scale starts at ₹48,480 and extends to ₹85,920, plus applicable allowances and benefits. Probation is 12 months of active service. The recruitment also carries a service-bond condition requiring three years of active service; leaving earlier can attract the notified recovery equivalent to three months' gross salary, capped at ₹2 lakh, subject to Bank rules.
Selection Process
The selection framework includes an online examination and further stages such as local-language proficiency assessment, Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview as applicable, along with document verification and medical requirements. Probation 12 महीने active service है। Current service-bond condition में तीन वर्ष की active service आवश्यक है; निर्धारित अवधि से पहले Bank छोड़ने पर rules के अनुसार तीन महीने की gross salary के बराबर, अधिकतम ₹2 लाख तक recovery हो सकती है।
