BIS Marks 79th Foundation Day with New Initiatives
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) celebrated its 79th Foundation Day in January 2026, marking nearly eight decades of commitment to quality, safety, and reliability in Indian products and services. As India’s national standards body, BIS operates under the BIS Act of 2016 and is headquartered in New Delhi.
