India’s Unemployment Rate Stable at 4.8% — December 2025
India’s unemployment rate stood at 4.8% in December 2025, slightly higher than 4.7% in November. Rural unemployment remained 3.9%, urban female unemployment eased to 9.1%, and male rural rate was 4.1%. Labour Force Participation Rate rose to 56.1% and Worker Population Ratio reached 53.4%.
