IBPS PO/MT XVI Preliminary Result 2026 Declared: Check Qualification and Mains Date

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has declared the preliminary examination result for the Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers and Management Trainees, CRP PO/MT-XVI. Candidates who appeared in the preliminary examination on 22 and 23 August 2026 can check their own qualifying status through the official IBPS result link. The result became available on 23 September and the reported result-viewing window closes on 30 September 2026. Do not postpone checking the result until the last day, when heavy traffic or a forgotten password may cause difficulty.
This is a preliminary-stage qualification update, not a final appointment list. The preliminary examination is used to shortlist candidates for the main examination. A candidate whose screen shows qualification should immediately begin final revision for the next stage rather than waiting for a separate scorecard or cut-off announcement. Those who have not qualified can review the published marks and cut-offs when available and identify whether speed, accuracy or an individual section needs improvement.
To check the result, open the official IBPS website, find the CRP PO/MT-XVI section and select the preliminary result link. Enter the registration number or roll number and the password or date of birth in the format requested on the login screen. Complete the security verification and view the result. Save a copy or print the displayed status for personal records. A result screen is not an admit card for the main examination; the main-exam call letter must be downloaded separately when IBPS makes it available.
The IBPS tentative examination calendar lists 4 October 2026 for the PO/MT-XVI main examination. Candidates should check their own call letter and any later IBPS notice because the institute may change its schedule. The short interval between the result and the scheduled main examination makes focused revision important. Prioritise reasoning and computer aptitude, data analysis and interpretation, English language, general/economy/banking awareness and descriptive writing according to the detailed notification and current exam pattern. For banking awareness, revise the functions of the Reserve Bank of India, monetary policy instruments, payment systems, financial inclusion, priority-sector lending and major financial institutions. For quantitative work, practise data interpretation sets under timed conditions and check calculation accuracy. For reasoning, practise multi-variable puzzles, seating arrangements and logical deduction. English preparation should include reading comprehension, vocabulary in context and concise writing. These are preparation suggestions, not a substitute for the official syllabus.
Keep the registration details, identity document and application records accessible. Read the main-exam call letter for permitted items, reporting time, venue and identity-verification requirements. Do not assume that the city or timing of the preliminary examination will be repeated in the main examination.

बैंकिंग जागरूकता में भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के कार्य, मौद्रिक नीति के उपकरण, भुगतान प्रणालियाँ, वित्तीय समावेशन, प्राथमिकता प्राप्त क्षेत्र को ऋण और प्रमुख वित्तीय संस्थाओं का अध्ययन करें। गणितीय भाग में समयबद्ध आँकड़ा-व्याख्या के प्रश्न हल करें और गणना की शुद्धता जाँचें। तर्कशक्ति में बहु-चर पहेलियाँ, बैठक व्यवस्था और तार्किक निष्कर्ष का अभ्यास करें। अंग्रेज़ी में गद्यांश, प्रसंगानुसार शब्दार्थ और संक्षिप्त लेखन पर ध्यान दें। ये अध्ययन-सुझाव हैं; आधिकारिक पाठ्यक्रम का विकल्प नहीं।
