On 15 May 2026, the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune inaugurated a dedicated Incubation Center for Startups in Weather and Climate and organized the WISE-2026 event.

The initiative aims to promote climate-tech innovation, weather forecasting technologies, and private-sector participation in India’s atmospheric sciences ecosystem.
