POWERGRID Awarded at PMIS Industry Awards (English)
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, received the PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award in the category Innovation in Exit Pathways on 14 August 2026. The prize was conferred during the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ award ceremony at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, held as part of Independence Day celebrations.

About the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (English)
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) was launched in December 2024 to connect youth with industry through national-level internships. POWERGRID joined PMIS as a pan-India partner and provided 6,265 internship positions across Pilot Rounds 1 and 2 between December 2024 and December 2025.

Why POWERGRID Won: Innovation in Exit Pathways (English)
The award recognised POWERGRID’s initiative to upload training records of all PMIS interns onto the Rozgaar portal operated by the Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC). The Rozgaar portal is used for skill-related placement and employment facilitation within the power sector ecosystem, helping interns transition to employment.
