The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a large, white owl belonging to the true owl family.
In terms of habitat, it primarily lives in the Arctic regions, especially in open and treeless areas known as tundra. It can also be found in coastal dunes, prairies, open moorlands, meadows, marshes, and even agricultural lands.
Geographically, the Snowy Owl is native to Arctic regions across North America and Eurasia.
One of the unique characteristics of the Snowy Owl is that, unlike most owls, it is not strictly nocturnal. It can hunt during both day and night.
