Who has created LISP, the Programming Language for Artificial Intelligence?
Correct Answer
B. John McCarthyB.
Explanation
The correct answer according to the source is John McCarthy.
The book states directly that John McCarthy created LISP, described in the question and explanation as the programming language for Artificial Intelligence.
Therefore the source-supported revision association is: LISP — Programming Language for Artificial Intelligence — John McCarthy.
Grace Hopper, Charles Bachman and Leslie Lamport are distractors.
This is a creator-language association and should be memorised in both directions: if LISP is given, recall John McCarthy; if John McCarthy is given among options in a question about the Artificial Intelligence programming language LISP, select him.
The source explanation is brief and does not provide the year in which LISP was created, the meaning or expansion of the name LISP, its syntax, applications, versions or other work by John McCarthy.
Therefore those details have not been added as source-derived information.
The wording 'Programming Language for Artificial Intelligence' has been preserved because that is how this particular source frames LISP for exam preparation.
Students should avoid mixing this association with other programming-language inventors appearing in computer-GK questions.
Quick revision: LISP → Artificial Intelligence Programming Language → John McCarthy.
Therefore option (b), John McCarthy, is correct.
इसलिए source-supported revision association है: LISP — Programming Language for Artificial Intelligence — John McCarthy। Source explanation बहुत brief है और LISP के creation year, नाम का expansion, syntax, applications, versions या John McCarthy के अन्य contributions की details नहीं देती। 'Programming Language for Artificial Intelligence' wording source Quick revision: LISP → Artificial Intelligence → John McCarthy।
