Explanation

The Gupta period has traditionally been described as a 'Golden Age' of Indian history because of major developments in literature, mathematics, astronomy, art, sculpture and other intellectual fields.
The Gupta Empire became a major political power in northern India from approximately the fourth century CE.
Sanskrit literature flourished, and figures traditionally associated with this broader classical cultural environment include Kalidasa.
Important developments in mathematics and astronomy are associated with scholars such as Aryabhata, whose Aryabhatiya was composed in the early 6th century.
Gupta-period sculpture and temple architecture also became highly influential.
The famous paintings at Ajanta include important phases broadly contemporary with the Gupta-Vakataka cultural world.
However, the expression 'Golden Age' is a historiographical label and should not be understood to mean that every region or every social group experienced uniform prosperity.
Modern historical study examines both achievements and social-economic complexities of the period.
For competitive examinations, however, the standard association remains Gupta Period → Golden Age of ancient India, especially in reference to achievements in science, mathematics, literature and art.
Therefore, Gupta is the correct answer.

प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं में मुख्य संबंध है: Gupta Period → Golden Age → literature, science, mathematics and art।
