World Ozone Day, officially known as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, was observed on 16 September 2026.
On the occasion, India launched two important digital platforms:

5. DRI Seizes More Than 231 kg Methamphetamine in Northeast
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) busted a major methamphetamine-smuggling network in India's Northeast.

DRI officers intercepted four trucks at multiple locations in Assam and Tripura on 15 September, with the major breakthrough announced on 16 September.
