What is confirmed by ISRO?
ISRO Careers says the computer-based test, previously announced for 19 October 2026, has been postponed to Thursday, 29 October 2026. This notice changes the examination schedule; it does not reopen applications. Candidates should check the official exam notice and their admit card for centre, reporting time and other instructions.
Understanding the official notice
Read the exact advertisement number, date and recruiting centre before acting. A fresh vacancy announcement and a change to an existing examination schedule require different action from students. Do not use the same application instructions for both.
Eligibility and educational qualifications
Eligibility is governed by the detailed advertisement and any corrigendum. Confirm required educational discipline, professional registration if applicable, experience counted after qualification, age reckoning date, reservation conditions and permissible documents. A degree with a similar name is not necessarily equivalent.
Important dates and candidate action
Use the official date specified above. Check the original PDF for the application portal, opening time, closing time and any extension. For an examination rescheduling notice, verify the revised exam date and instructions instead of attempting a new registration. Save a copy of the latest notice.
Vacancies, pay and selection
Do not rely on vacancy counts, pay levels or selection stages from an older ISRO notice. Read the current advertisement for post-wise vacancy, category reservation, screening criteria, test or interview pattern and remuneration. This article intentionally avoids unsupported numerical claims.
Documents and verification
Prepare a valid identity document, educational certificates, semester marksheets, experience certificates, registration credentials, recent photograph and applicable category certificates. Follow the official instructions on upload format and size. Candidates attending a test should also check permitted identification and prohibited items.
Avoid common mistakes
Check that the notification belongs to the same recruitment cycle. Avoid unofficial payment links, forwarded screenshots and claims of guaranteed selection. Verify changes on the ISRO Careers page and use the original notice as the final authority.
