RRB Technician CBT 2026 Exam Date, City Slip, Admit Card and Syllabus
Latest update: The Railway Recruitment Boards have scheduled the Computer-Based Test for Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Grade-III under CEN 02/2026 for 6–9 October 2026. This is an examination schedule update, not an announcement that every candidate's admit card is already available. The exact date, shift, centre and reporting time will be shown individually through the official city-intimation and e-call-letter facilities.
What candidates should check now
Applicants should first inspect their application status on the official Railway recruitment login. An application marked provisionally accepted or conditionally accepted does not guarantee appointment: the candidate must satisfy the notice and later verification. If the application is rejected, read the reason shown in the portal and follow only an officially announced remedy. Do not trust agents claiming they can change an RRB application status.
City intimation versus admit card
The exam-city/date intimation is expected about ten days before the candidate's scheduled examination. It helps with travel planning but is not an entry pass. The e-call letter is expected approximately four days before the individual examination date. A candidate appearing on 6 October and one appearing on 9 October may therefore see different release dates. Check the official notice for any revised timing.

Exam pattern and preparation
The Technician Grade-I (Signal) and Technician Grade-III examinations have different prescribed syllabi and paper structures; do not prepare for one using the other's syllabus. Grade-I candidates should consult the notified General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basics of Computers and Applications, Mathematics and Basic Science and Engineering components. Grade-III candidates should consult the prescribed Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness components. The detailed CEN governs the number of questions, duration, negative marking, minimum qualifying marks and any disability-related concessions.
For preparation, revise the specific technical/science concepts appropriate to the post, practise timed reasoning and mathematics sets, and use official mock-test facilities if activated. A candidate should not treat a third-party practice test as the official examination pattern.

- Log in with the requested registration details and date of birth/password.
- Verify name, photograph, post, examination date, shift, centre and instructions.
- Save the document and print the admit card once released.
Examination-day checklist
Carry the printed e-call letter, prescribed original photo identification and any other items explicitly required by the e-call letter. Reach the centre within the reporting window. Follow photograph, signature, biometric and identity-verification instructions. The city slip alone will not permit entry.

आवेदन की स्थिति जांचें
सबसे पहले रेलवे के आधिकारिक पोर्टल पर अपने आवेदन की स्थिति देखें। आवेदन अस्थायी रूप से स्वीकृत या शर्तों सहित स्वीकृत होने पर भी बाद में पात्रता तथा दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन आवश्यक रहेगा। अस्वीकृत आवेदन के लिए पोर्टल पर दर्शाया गया कारण पढ़ें और केवल आधिकारिक सूचना में दी गई प्रक्रिया अपनाएं। किसी एजेंट को स्थिति बदलवाने के नाम पर धन न दें।
परीक्षा शहर की सूचना और प्रवेश पत्र में अंतर
परीक्षा शहर एवं तिथि की सूचना संबंधित परीक्षा से लगभग दस दिन पहले अपेक्षित है। इसका उद्देश्य यात्रा की योजना बनाने में सहायता करना है; यह परीक्षा केंद्र में प्रवेश का दस्तावेज़ नहीं है। ई-प्रवेश पत्र संबंधित अभ्यर्थी की परीक्षा से लगभग चार दिन पहले अपेक्षित है। इसलिए 6 अक्टूबर और 9 अक्टूबर की परीक्षा वाले अभ्यर्थियों को प्रवेश पत्र अलग-अलग दिनों में मिल सकते हैं।

पाठ्यक्रम और तैयारी
Technician Grade-I (Signal) तथा Technician Grade-III के पाठ्यक्रम और प्रश्नपत्र की संरचना अलग हैं। Grade-I के लिए सामान्य जागरूकता, तर्कशक्ति, कंप्यूटर की मूल जानकारी, गणित तथा मूल विज्ञान एवं अभियांत्रिकी के अधिसूचित भाग देखें। Grade-III के लिए गणित, तर्कशक्ति, सामान्य विज्ञान और सामान्य जागरूकता के निर्धारित भाग देखें। प्रश्नों की संख्या, अवधि, ऋणात्मक अंकन और न्यूनतम अर्हक अंक के लिए विस्तृत CEN पढ़ें।
तैयारी में पद के अनुसार विज्ञान अथवा तकनीकी अवधारणाएं दोहराएं, समयबद्ध गणित और तर्कशक्ति का अभ्यास करें तथा उपलब्ध होने पर आधिकारिक अभ्यास परीक्षा का उपयोग करें।
प्रवेश पत्र कैसे प्राप्त करें?
- अपने क्षेत्रीय रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट खोलें।
- CEN 02/2026 की संबंधित सूचना चुनें।
- पंजीकरण विवरण तथा जन्मतिथि/पासवर्ड से प्रवेश करें।
- नाम, चित्र, पद, परीक्षा तिथि, पाली, केंद्र और निर्देश जांचें।
- प्रवेश पत्र जारी होने पर उसकी प्रति सुरक्षित करें और मुद्रित करें।
परीक्षा के दिन
मुद्रित प्रवेश पत्र, निर्धारित मूल फोटो पहचानपत्र और प्रवेश पत्र में मांगे गए अन्य दस्तावेज़ साथ रखें। समय से केंद्र पहुंचें। केवल शहर की सूचना दिखाकर परीक्षा केंद्र में प्रवेश नहीं मिलेगा।
