NPS Trust AIF Cell Recruitment 2026: 7 Senior Consultant and Consultant Posts

Advertisement 06/2026, dated 26 October 2026. National Pension System Trust invites applications for seven full-time contractual specialists in its Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) Cell. Applications must be emailed by 16 November 2026. These are not regular or permanent government appointments.

Vacancies, Job Codes and Monthly Remuneration

• Senior Consultant – AIF Cell: 2 UR vacancies, job codes SCN/002–003, consolidated ₹2,25,000 per month, maximum age 40 years.
• Consultant – AIF Cell: 5 vacancies (2 UR, 2 OBC, 1 SC), job codes CSN/004–008, consolidated ₹1,75,000 per month, maximum age 30 years.
• Total: 7 positions (4 UR, 2 OBC, 1 SC). No separate ST or EWS vacancies are shown in the notification.

Remuneration is consolidated and subject to applicable tax deductions. An annual increase may be considered based on performance; it is not automatic.

Educational Qualifications

For either role, the notification specifies one or more of the following: qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, B.Tech, bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or an equivalent discipline. Read the official notification for provisions concerning recognized institutions, equivalent foreign qualifications and professional certifications.

Work Experience

Senior Consultant: Preferably at least three years of post-qualification experience in research, analysis or due diligence related to investment banking, AIFs, private equity, private debt, BFSI, insurance, capital markets or pension funds. Consultant: Preferably at least two years in comparable fields. Fresh graduates may also be considered; the stated experience is preferred, not an absolute mandatory minimum. The Trust may still use experience to shortlist applicants.

Age and Relaxations

Maximum age on 30 September 2026: Senior Consultant 40 years; Consultant 30 years. The notification provides relaxation of up to 5 years for SC, 3 years for eligible OBC, 5 years for ex-servicemen, and specified PwBD relaxations subject to its conditions, including an overall age cap of 45 years for PwBD applicants. Contract Terms and Benefits

Initial full-time contract: three years, potentially extendable by up to two additional years, one year at a time, subject to mutual agreement and performance. The contract provides proportionate leave of 30 days per calendar year. No residential accommodation or superannuation/separation benefits are provided. A 90-day notice or pay in lieu may apply to termination. Selected candidates have no right to claim regular NPS Trust employment.

Nature of Work

Research and evaluate alternative investment proposals, support due diligence, flag compliance or performance concerns, prepare comparative reports, monitor capital calls and quarterly disclosures, maintain MIS and documentation, and support investment monitoring and reporting.

Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary screening and shortlisting by a committee.
2. Document verification of age, qualifications, experience and category claims.
3. Interview for shortlisted candidates, potentially in New Delhi or Mumbai.

Interview call letters will be sent by email. The notification does not prescribe a separate CBT or written examination. Meeting basic eligibility does not guarantee an interview.

आयु सीमा और छूट

30 सितंबर 2026 को सीनियर कंसल्टेंट के लिए अधिकतम आयु 40 वर्ष और कंसल्टेंट के लिए 30 वर्ष है। अधिसूचना में SC को अधिकतम 5 वर्ष, पात्र OBC को 3 वर्ष, पूर्व सैनिकों को 5 वर्ष तथा PwBD उम्मीदवारों को निर्दिष्ट शर्तों के अनुसार छूट दी गई है। PwBD के लिए अधिसूचना में 45 वर्ष की अधिकतम आयु संबंधी शर्त भी है। प्रमाणपत्र और श्रेणीवार नियम आधिकारिक PDF से जाँचें।

संविदा अवधि और सुविधाएँ

प्रारंभिक अनुबंध 3 वर्ष का होगा। आपसी सहमति और प्रदर्शन के आधार पर इसे एक-एक वर्ष करके अधिकतम 2 वर्ष और बढ़ाया जा सकता है। अनुपातिक आधार पर कैलेंडर वर्ष में 30 दिन की छुट्टी का प्रावधान है। आवास तथा सेवानिवृत्ति/सेवा समाप्ति लाभ नहीं दिए जाते। अनुबंध समाप्त करने के लिए 90 दिन की सूचना या उसके बदले भुगतान की शर्त लागू हो सकती है। नियमित नियुक्ति का दावा नहीं किया जा सकता।

कार्य का स्वरूप

AIF प्रस्तावों का शोध एवं मूल्यांकन, निवेश की ड्यू डिलिजेंस, अनुपालन और प्रदर्शन की निगरानी, तुलनात्मक रिपोर्ट तैयार करना, पूँजी माँग और तिमाही रिपोर्ट की निगरानी, MIS तथा निवेश दस्तावेजों का रखरखाव और संबंधित रिपोर्टिंग कार्य शामिल हैं।

चयन प्रक्रिया

1. स्क्रीनिंग समिति द्वारा प्रारंभिक जाँच एवं शॉर्टलिस्टिंग।
2. आयु, शिक्षा, अनुभव तथा श्रेणी प्रमाणपत्रों का सत्यापन।
3. शॉर्टलिस्ट उम्मीदवारों का साक्षात्कार, जो नई दिल्ली या मुंबई में हो सकता है।

साक्षात्कार का बुलावा ईमेल से भेजा जाएगा। विज्ञापन में अलग CBT या लिखित परीक्षा निर्धारित नहीं है। न्यूनतम योग्यता पूरी होने पर साक्षात्कार का अधिकार स्वतः नहीं मिलता।
