In the context of the Sri Lankan Civil War, what does the first 'T' in LTTE stand for?
Correct Answer
B. TigersB.
Explanation
The correct answer is Tigers.
According to the source, LTTE stands for 'The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam'.
Therefore the first letter 'T' appearing in LTTE represents 'Tigers'.
The source further describes LTTE as a military separatist group that was fighting for an independent homeland for Hindu Tamils in northeastern Sri Lanka.
The complete source-supported revision chain is therefore: LTTE — Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam — first T = Tigers — military separatist group — independent homeland — Hindu Tamils — northeastern Sri Lanka.
Students should pay close attention to the exact wording because 'Tamil' is also part of the full form, but it corresponds to a later letter in the abbreviation rather than the first 'T'.
This makes option (a), Tamil, a particularly strong distractor.
Tarantulas and Triumph are unrelated distractors.
The source does not provide dates connected with the Sri Lankan Civil War, leaders of LTTE, the organisation's founding, military operations or the end of the conflict in this explanation.
Therefore those details have not been added.
The wording describing the group and its objective has been preserved as the source presents it rather than expanded with outside political or historical interpretation.
Quick revision: LTTE = Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam; first T = Tigers.
Therefore option (b), Tigers, is correct.
स्रोत के अनुसार LTTE का full form 'The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam' है। LTTE — Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam — First T = Tigers — Military Separatist Group — Independent Homeland — Hindu Tamils — Northeastern Sri Lanka। इसी कारण option (a), Tamil, strong distractor है। Tarantulas और Triumph unrelated distractors हैं। Source इस explanation में Sri Lankan Civil War की dates, LTTE leadership, foundation year, military operations या conflict के end की details नहीं देती। Quick revision: LTTE = Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam; First T = Tigers।
