Correct Answer
B. L. M. Singhvi CommitteeB.
Explanation
According to the source, the recommendation to grant dual citizenship to overseas Indians was made by the L.
M.
Singhvi Committee.
The source then states that the government gave in-principle approval to the recommendation in 2003.
It further describes the limited overseas status available to eligible persons as Overseas Citizenship of India, or OCI.
Students should note that the source distinguishes this limited overseas citizenship arrangement from India's general constitutional principle of single citizenship.
Therefore, the committee associated with the recommendation is the L.
M.
Singhvi Committee.
