Which day has been proclaimed by the United Nat…

Correct Answer

D. 22 MayD. 22 मई

Explanation

The correct answer is 22 May.
According to the source, 22 May has been proclaimed as the International Day for Biological Diversity in order to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity-related issues.
Biodiversity broadly refers to the variety of living organisms and ecological systems.
Questions on biodiversity are common in SSC, Railway and other general-awareness examinations because the topic connects static GK, environment and international observances.
For this question, the most important direct association is International Day for Biological Diversity — 22 May.
The same fact has already appeared elsewhere in the book, demonstrating how SSC can repeat an important static fact with slightly different wording.
Students should therefore learn the concept rather than memorise only one question.
A useful date cluster for revision is: 22 May — International Day for Biological Diversity; 5 June — World Environment Day; 16 September — International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.
These environment-related dates are often used as distractors in multiple-choice questions.
Although the book places this question in the States GK sequence, its subject matter is actually an international environmental observance rather than state-specific GK.
I have preserved the book's placement and topic sequence for bulk-import continuity.
From an exam point of view, remember both the date and its purpose: 22 May is intended to promote understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.
Therefore option (d) is correct.

International Day for Biological Diversity International Day for Biological Diversity — 22 May।
