Correct Answer
C. Jammu and KashmirC.
Explanation
The correct answer is Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the source, the Saffron Mission was initiated in 2010 with the objective of increasing saffron production and improving its quality while also boosting the income of growers.
The book states that the mission aimed to use scientific techniques to rejuvenate saffron bulbs.
It also sought to provide groundwater irrigation through borewells and sprinklers, introduce power tillers, and establish a high-tech saffron park.
The source further mentions mechanised processing, a testing laboratory and an e-trading facility as parts of the initiative.
These details make the question important beyond a simple state-location fact because they explain the agricultural and technological objectives of the mission.
For the direct PYQ, the main association is Saffron Mission — 2010 — Jammu and Kashmir.
Students should also remember the mission's broad goals: higher saffron production, better quality and increased grower income.
Scientific rejuvenation of saffron bulbs and improved irrigation infrastructure are additional source-based points that can help answer descriptive or statement-based questions.
Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Haryana are not identified by the book as the place where this mission was initiated.
Since the question specifically asks 'At which place', the geographical association is the decisive element.
For revision, remember: Saffron Mission — Jammu and Kashmir — 2010 — production, quality, grower income — scientific cultivation and irrigation — high-tech saffron park, processing, testing and e-trading.
Therefore option (c) is correct.
सीधे PYQ के लिए मुख्य association है: Saffron Mission — 2010 — Jammu and Kashmir। प्रश्न विशेष रूप से 'At which place' पूछता है, इसलिए geographical association निर्णायक है। Revision chain रखें: Saffron Mission — Jammu and Kashmir — 2010 — production + quality + grower income — scientific techniques — irrigation — high-tech saffron park — mechanised processing — testing laboratory — e-trading।
