ANNA DARPAN came into focus in November 2025 when the Union Ministry dealing with Food and Public Distribution introduced a set of digital initiatives aimed at modernising food-grain management, warehousing, supply-chain operations and transparency in India's Public Distribution System.

अन्न दर्पण नवंबर 2025 में उस समय चर्चा में आया जब खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण से संबंधित केंद्रीय मंत्रालय ने खाद्यान्न प्रबंधन, भंडारण, आपूर्ति शृंखला और सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली में पारदर्शिता को आधुनिक बनाने के उद्देश्य से अनेक डिजिटल पहलों को आगे बढ़ाया।

What is ANNA DARPAN? | अन्न दर्पण क्या है?

ANNA DARPAN is a digital platform introduced by the Food Corporation of India. It is based on a microservices architecture and is intended to replace the earlier Depot Online System. Instead of keeping different operational activities isolated, the platform brings important functions onto an integrated digital system.

अन्न दर्पण भारतीय खाद्य निगम द्वारा प्रस्तुत डिजिटल मंच है। यह सूक्ष्म-सेवा आधारित संरचना पर विकसित किया गया है और इसका उद्देश्य पुरानी डिपो ऑनलाइन प्रणाली का स्थान लेना है। अलग-अलग परिचालन गतिविधियों को पृथक रखने के बजाय यह महत्वपूर्ण कार्यों को एक एकीकृत डिजिटल व्यवस्था में लाता है।

Activities Integrated | एकीकृत गतिविधियाँ

The platform connects procurement, storage, movement of food grains, sales, quality checks, labour management and contract monitoring. It is designed to provide a unified source of operational information for FCI and the Department of Food and Public Distribution.

यह मंच खरीद, भंडारण, खाद्यान्न परिवहन, बिक्री, गुणवत्ता जाँच, श्रमिक प्रबंधन और अनुबंध निगरानी जैसी गतिविधियों को जोड़ता है। इसका उद्देश्य भारतीय खाद्य निगम और खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण विभाग को परिचालन संबंधी एकीकृत जानकारी उपलब्ध कराना है।

Important Features | प्रमुख विशेषताएँ

ANNA DARPAN follows a mobile-first approach and supports integration with internal as well as external digital systems. Real-time dashboards can provide information relating to mandियों, depots, railheads and offices. A common information flow can reduce duplication, improve monitoring and help officials make faster decisions.

अन्न दर्पण में मोबाइल-प्रथम दृष्टिकोण अपनाया गया है और इसे आंतरिक तथा बाहरी डिजिटल प्रणालियों के साथ जोड़ा जा सकता है। वास्तविक समय के डैशबोर्ड मंडियों, डिपो, रेलहेड और कार्यालयों से संबंधित जानकारी उपलब्ध करा सकते हैं। साझा सूचना प्रवाह से दोहराव कम करने, निगरानी सुधारने और निर्णय लेने की गति बढ़ाने में सहायता मिल सकती है।

Food Corporation of India | भारतीय खाद्य निगम

FCI is a statutory organisation central to India's food-security architecture. Its major functions include procurement of food grains at support prices, storage, movement and distribution of food grains, and maintenance of buffer stocks for food security and price-management purposes.

भारतीय खाद्य निगम भारत की खाद्य सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की प्रमुख वैधानिक संस्था है। इसके महत्वपूर्ण कार्यों में समर्थन मूल्य पर खाद्यान्न खरीद, भंडारण, परिवहन और वितरण तथा खाद्य सुरक्षा और मूल्य प्रबंधन के लिए सुरक्षित भंडार बनाए रखना शामिल है।

Connection with PDS | सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली से संबंध

Efficient FCI operations are important for the Public Distribution System because centrally procured food grains have to be stored and transported before reaching the distribution network. Better digital traceability can therefore support transparency and supply-chain efficiency.

भारतीय खाद्य निगम का कुशल संचालन सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि केंद्रीय स्तर पर खरीदे गए खाद्यान्न को वितरण तंत्र तक पहुँचने से पहले संग्रहित और परिवहन करना पड़ता है। बेहतर डिजिटल अनुरेखण से पारदर्शिता और आपूर्ति शृंखला की दक्षता में सुधार हो सकता है।

10 December 1964: The Food Corporations Act, 1964 received presidential assent. / खाद्य निगम अधिनियम, 1964 को राष्ट्रपति की स्वीकृति मिली।
14 January 1965: Food Corporation of India was established. / भारतीय खाद्य निगम की स्थापना हुई।
2013: The National Food Security Act created a rights-based framework for subsidised food-grain distribution to eligible populations. / राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम ने पात्र आबादी को रियायती खाद्यान्न उपलब्ध कराने के लिए अधिकार-आधारित व्यवस्था स्थापित की।
November 2025: ANNA DARPAN featured among digital initiatives for modernising food-grain and PDS operations. / खाद्यान्न और सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली के आधुनिकीकरण की डिजिटल पहलों में अन्न दर्पण चर्चा में आया।
