Objectives | उद्देश्य
- Preserve and promote traditional Eri weaving skills. / पारंपरिक Eri weaving skills का संरक्षण और प्रचार करना।
- Provide design and skill-development support to local artisans. / स्थानीय artisans को design और skill-development support देना।
- Create livelihood opportunities for weavers, spinners and silk rearers. / weavers, spinners और silk rearers के लिए livelihood opportunities बढ़ाना।

About Eri Silk | एरी सिल्क के बारे में
Eri silk is popularly called Ahimsa Silk or Peace Silk because in traditional practice the moth is often allowed to emerge before the cocoon is processed.
Eri silk को Ahimsa Silk या Peace Silk भी कहा जाता है क्योंकि पारंपरिक प्रक्रिया में अक्सर cocoon से moth के बाहर आने के बाद silk processing की जाती है।
Meghalaya is an important centre of Eri silk production in Northeast India.
