About EAS | EAS के बारे में
The East Asia Summit is a leaders-led forum for dialogue and cooperation on strategic, political and economic issues affecting the wider East Asian and Indo-Pacific region.
East Asia Summit रणनीतिक, राजनीतिक और आर्थिक मुद्दों पर संवाद एवं सहयोग के लिए नेताओं के नेतृत्व वाला मंच है।
It was established in 2005, with the first summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
इसकी स्थापना 2005 में हुई और पहला शिखर सम्मेलन कुआलालंपुर, मलेशिया में आयोजित किया गया।
Members | सदस्य देश
The EAS has 18 participating countries: the 10 ASEAN members — Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam — along with Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States.
EAS में कुल 18 भागीदार देश हैं: 10 ASEAN सदस्य — ब्रुनेई, कंबोडिया, इंडोनेशिया, लाओस, मलेशिया, म्यांमार, फिलीपींस, सिंगापुर, थाईलैंड और वियतनाम — तथा ऑस्ट्रेलिया, चीन, भारत, जापान, न्यूजीलैंड, दक्षिण कोरिया, रूस और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका।
Participation Criteria | भागीदारी के मानदंड
Participation is ASEAN-centred. Countries are expected to be ASEAN dialogue partners, accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), and maintain substantive cooperative relations with ASEAN.
भागीदारी ASEAN-केंद्रित है। देशों से अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वे ASEAN के dialogue partner हों, Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC) से जुड़े हों तथा ASEAN के साथ महत्वपूर्ण सहयोगी संबंध रखते हों।
