Specific heat capacity is the heat required to raise the temperature of unit mass of a substance by 1°C or 1 K.
किसी पदार्थ के इकाई द्रव्यमान का तापमान 1°C या 1 K बढ़ाने के लिए आवश्यक ऊष्मा को विशिष्ट ऊष्मा धारिता कहते हैं।
Anomalous Expansion of Water | जल का असामान्य प्रसार
Water behaves unusually between 0°C and 4°C. When heated from 0°C to 4°C, its volume decreases and its density increases. Water has maximum density at approximately 4°C. Above 4°C it expands normally on heating.
0°C से 4°C के बीच पानी असामान्य व्यवहार करता है। 0°C से 4°C तक गर्म करने पर उसका आयतन घटता और घनत्व बढ़ता है। लगभग 4°C पर पानी का घनत्व अधिकतम होता है। 4°C से ऊपर गर्म करने पर पानी सामान्य रूप से फैलता है।
This phenomenon is called anomalous expansion of water.
इस घटना को जल का असामान्य प्रसार कहते हैं।
