This source-based pairing should be distinguished from other frequently tested constitutional sources.
Fundamental Rights are associated with the United States, Directive Principles of State Policy with Ireland, parliamentary government with Britain, the Concurrent List with Australia and the constitutional amendment procedure with South Africa.
The source associates the Weimar Constitution of Germany with suspension of Fundamental Rights during an emergency.
France is linked with liberty, equality and fraternity as well as the republican arrangement, while Japan is linked with procedure established by law.
Such questions are often asked in matching format, making it useful to memorise each country together with its associated features.
For this question, the source explicitly places Fundamental Duties under the Constitution of the Soviet Union.
