Which of the following was NOT a member of the States Reorganisation Commission mentioned in the source?
Correct Answer
D. Potti SriramuluD.
Explanation
According to the source, Potti Sriramulu was not a member of the States Reorganisation Commission.
The three members named by the source are Fazl Ali, K.
M.
Panikkar and H.
N.
Kunzru.
Fazl Ali served as Chairman.
Potti Sriramulu appears in the same broader discussion of linguistic reorganisation, but in a different context.
The source connects him with the movement for a separate state for Telugu-speaking people and with the formation of Andhra Pradesh.
Therefore, students should distinguish between the personalities connected with popular linguistic movements and those formally appointed to the States Reorganisation Commission.
The correct answer is Potti Sriramulu.
