New Delhi's Lotus Temple was designed by an architect from ______.
Correct Answer
B. IranB.
Explanation
The correct answer is Iran.
According to the source, the Bahai Lotus Temple in New Delhi was designed by the Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba.
The book further states that the temple was designed in the shape of a lotus because the lotus is common to several religions, including Hinduism and Buddhism.
Thus, the most useful source-supported examination chain is: Lotus Temple — New Delhi — Bahai Temple — architect Fariborz Sahba — Iranian architect — lotus-shaped design.
The question itself asks only the architect's country, but the explanation provides the architect's name as an additional high-value fact.
Competitive examinations may reverse the question and ask who designed the Lotus Temple, in which city it is situated, or which country Fariborz Sahba belonged to.
Germany, UAE and Japan are distractors in the original PYQ.
The book clearly identifies Iran.
The source also links the lotus-shaped architecture with the lotus symbol being common to several religions and specifically mentions Hinduism and Buddhism.
That wording has been preserved without expanding into wider architectural or religious interpretation.
The source does not provide the year of completion, construction period, number of petals, seating capacity or other architectural specifications in this entry.
Therefore those details have not been added as source-derived information.
Quick revision: Lotus Temple — New Delhi — Bahai Temple — Fariborz Sahba — Iran — Lotus Shape.
Therefore option (b), Iran, is correct.
स्रोत के अनुसार New Delhi का Bahai Lotus Temple Iranian architect Fariborz Sahba द्वारा design किया गया था। इसलिए complete source-supported revision chain है: Lotus Temple — New Delhi — Bahai Temple — Architect Fariborz Sahba — Iranian Architect — Lotus-shaped Design। Answer — Fariborz Sahba। Answer — Iran। Source temple के completion year, construction period, petals की संख्या, seating capacity या अन्य architectural specifications नहीं देती। Quick revision: Lotus Temple — New Delhi — Fariborz Sahba — Iran — Bahai Temple — Lotus Shape।
