Latest update: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has been conducting the Grade-II (GNCTDSS) / Assistant Section Officer computer-based recruitment examination during 21–24 September 2026, according to current examination reporting. This is an examination-stage update for an earlier recruitment, Advertisement No. 01/2026; its original application window was 24 February–25 March 2026 and is not being reopened by the examination notice.
Which recruitment does this concern?
Advertisement 01/2026 covers several separate posts, including Legal Assistant, Assistant Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Civil) and Grade-II (GNCTDSS)/Assistant Section Officer. Applicants should distinguish the ASO/Grade-II post code and examination shift from the other posts in the combined advertisement. A date reported for ASO must not be assumed to apply automatically to Legal Assistant or engineering posts.

Examination pattern and syllabus: what to verify
For Grade-II/ASO, current preparation resources describe a Tier-I screening/qualifying stage and Tier-II merit-oriented stage, but candidates must rely on the specific DSSSB post-code scheme and the official examination notice for the exact number of questions, marks, duration, language, negative marking and qualifying conditions. The broad preparation areas for this kind of administrative recruitment include general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability, Hindi, English and, where notified, computer/administrative knowledge. These are study areas, not a substitute for the official post-specific syllabus.
Exam-day checklist
Carry the printed admit card and the original valid photo identification specified on it. Follow the centre's photograph and document requirements, arrive before the reporting deadline, and check rules about bags, watches, calculators, phones and other prohibited items. Do not rely on an examination-city notice as a replacement for the admit card.
After the CBT
Monitor DSSSB for the response sheet, provisional answer key, objection window, result and subsequent Tier-II/document-verification notices. Do not publish an unofficial answer key as the Board's final answer key or describe a qualifying Tier-I result as final appointment.

परीक्षा पद्धति और पाठ्यक्रम

परीक्षा दिवस की सावधानियां
