The Gulf Cooperation Council is a regional organisation that promotes cooperation and coordination among six Arab states of the Gulf region.
खाड़ी सहयोग परिषद एक क्षेत्रीय संगठन है, जिसका उद्देश्य खाड़ी क्षेत्र के छह अरब देशों के बीच सहयोग और समन्वय बढ़ाना है।

The GCC was established on 25 May 1981 in Abu Dhabi.

Objectives | उद्देश्य
The organisation promotes economic integration, coordination of policies, trade, infrastructure links, social and cultural cooperation, and security dialogue among member states.
यह संगठन सदस्य देशों के बीच आर्थिक एकीकरण, नीतिगत समन्वय, व्यापार, अवसंरचना संपर्क, सामाजिक एवं सांस्कृतिक सहयोग तथा सुरक्षा संबंधी संवाद को बढ़ावा देता है।

The GCC emerged amid regional security and political developments, including the 1979 Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War that began in 1980.
खाड़ी सहयोग परिषद का उदय क्षेत्रीय सुरक्षा और राजनीतिक घटनाक्रमों की पृष्ठभूमि में हुआ। इनमें 1979 की ईरानी क्रांति और 1980 में शुरू हुआ ईरान-इराक युद्ध शामिल थे।
Supreme Council | सर्वोच्च परिषद
The Supreme Council is the GCC's highest authority and comprises the heads of the member states. Its regular meetings provide direction on major regional cooperation matters.
सर्वोच्च परिषद जीसीसी का उच्चतम प्राधिकरण है। इसमें सदस्य देशों के राष्ट्राध्यक्ष अथवा शासनाध्यक्ष शामिल होते हैं। इसकी नियमित बैठकें क्षेत्रीय सहयोग के प्रमुख विषयों पर दिशा निर्धारित करती हैं।
Ministerial Council | मंत्रिपरिषद
The Ministerial Council consists of the foreign ministers of member states or their representatives. It prepares recommendations and supports implementation of agreed policies.
मंत्रिपरिषद में सदस्य देशों के विदेश मंत्री अथवा उनके प्रतिनिधि शामिल होते हैं। यह सिफारिशें तैयार करती है और सहमत नीतियों के क्रियान्वयन में सहायता करती है।
Secretariat General | महासचिवालय
The Secretariat General coordinates administrative work, prepares studies and supports joint GCC programmes and meetings.
महासचिवालय प्रशासनिक कार्यों का समन्वय करता है, अध्ययन तैयार करता है और परिषद के संयुक्त कार्यक्रमों तथा बैठकों को सहायता प्रदान करता है।
