Explanation / व्याख्या

Let original income = 100 and savings = x. Expenditure = 100 − x. New income = 120, new savings = 1.5x and new expenditure = 1.1(100 − x). Thus 1.5x + 1.1(100 − x) = 120. Solving gives 0.4x = 10, so x = 25.
