Explanation / व्याख्या

Let original income = 100 and savings = x. Then expenditure = 100 − x. New income = 120, new savings = 1.35x and new expenditure = 1.15(100 − x). So 1.35x + 1.15(100 − x) = 120. Solving gives x = 25. Hence original savings were 25% of income. / मूल आय 100 और बचत x मानें। व्यय = 100 − x। नई आय 120, नई बचत 1.35x और नया व्यय 1.15(100 − x) होगा। समीकरण हल करने पर x = 25 मिलता है। अतः मूल बचत आय का 25% थी।
