Articles are words used before nouns to indicate whether the noun is general or specific.
Articles ऐसे शब्द हैं जिनका प्रयोग संज्ञा से पहले यह बताने के लिए किया जाता है कि संज्ञा सामान्य है या विशेष।

Indefinite Articles / अनिश्चित Articles
A and An are called indefinite articles.
A और An को Indefinite Articles कहा जाता है।
They are generally used before singular countable nouns when the person or thing is not specifically identified.
इनका प्रयोग सामान्यतः एकवचन गणनीय संज्ञा के पहले तब किया जाता है जब व्यक्ति या वस्तु विशेष रूप से निश्चित न हो।
Rule 1 — A before a consonant sound

Rule 2 — An before a vowel sound
नियम 2 — स्वर ध्वनि से पहले An

Sound, Not Letter / अक्षर नहीं, ध्वनि महत्वपूर्ण है
The choice between a and an depends on pronunciation, not merely the written first letter.
A और An का चयन केवल पहले लिखित अक्षर से नहीं बल्कि उच्चारण की ध्वनि से होता है।

H is silent.
H का उच्चारण नहीं होता।

But:

because university begins with a “yu” sound.

The Definite Article / निश्चित Article
The is used when we refer to a specific person or thing.
जब किसी विशेष व्यक्ति या वस्तु की बात हो तो The का प्रयोग होता है।
Example:
I saw a boy. The boy was crying.
मैंने एक लड़का देखा। वह लड़का रो रहा था।
The first mention is general; the second identifies the particular boy.
पहली बार सामान्य उल्लेख है, दूसरी बार उसी विशेष लड़के की बात हो रही है।

No Article before Languages / भाषाओं के पहले Article नहीं
Correct:
He speaks English.
Not:
He speaks the English.
when referring simply to the language.

History is interesting.
No Article before Meals in General Use
सामान्य रूप से भोजन के नाम से पहले Article नहीं
We had breakfast.
Dinner is ready.
But when a meal is specifically described:
