The Government of India has continued engagement with VAIshwik BHArtiya Vaigyanik Fellows and scientists of Indian origin working across the world to strengthen collaboration with Indian research institutions.
भारत सरकार ने विश्व भर में कार्यरत भारतीय मूल के वैज्ञानिकों और VAIshwik BHArtiya Vaigyanik Fellows के साथ सहयोग को जारी रखा है ताकि भारतीय research institutions के साथ वैज्ञानिक partnership को मजबूत किया जा सके।

Purpose | उद्देश्य
The fellowship seeks to connect outstanding scientists and technologists of Indian origin working abroad with Indian Higher Educational Institutions, universities and publicly funded scientific institutions.
इस fellowship का उद्देश्य विदेशों में कार्यरत भारतीय मूल के उत्कृष्ट scientists और technologists को Indian Higher Educational Institutions, universities तथा publicly funded scientific institutions से जोड़ना है।
Research Collaboration | शोध सहयोग
Selected fellows identify an Indian host institution for collaborative research and can spend up to two months in India in a year for a maximum period of three years under the fellowship arrangement.
Selected fellows collaborative research के लिए एक Indian host institution चुनते हैं और fellowship arrangement के अंतर्गत अधिकतम तीन वर्षों तक प्रत्येक वर्ष दो महीने तक भारत में कार्य कर सकते हैं।
Fellowship Support | फेलोशिप सहायता
The fellowship provides a grant of ₹4 lakh per month during the approved fellowship period in India, along with specified support for travel, accommodation and contingencies under programme rules.
Programme rules के अनुसार fellowship के approved period के दौरान भारत में fellow को ₹4 lakh प्रति माह की fellowship grant तथा निर्धारित travel, accommodation और contingency support प्रदान की जाती है।

The programme covers multiple knowledge verticals including quantum technologies, health, pharmaceuticals, electronics, agriculture, energy, computer sciences and material sciences.

The VAIBHAV initiative traces its institutional background to the VAIBHAV Summit organised in 2020 to connect the global Indian STEMM diaspora with Indian institutions.
