The quality and reliability of sensor information are important for accurate decisions.

14. Role of Actuators

Actuators convert control signals into physical action.

They may move robotic arms, operate valves, adjust steering mechanisms or control industrial equipment.

In a Physical AI system, actuators enable decisions made by software to produce real-world effects.

15. Real-Time Computing

Real-time computing is designed to respond within specified timing requirements.

For a moving robot or autonomous vehicle, delayed processing can reduce the system's ability to react to obstacles and changing conditions.

Reliable timing is therefore essential in many safety-critical applications.

16. Low-Latency Communication

Latency refers to the delay between sending information and receiving a response.

Low-latency communication is important when machines must coordinate actions quickly.

However, systems should also be designed to handle communication failures rather than relying exclusively on uninterrupted connectivity.

17. Control Algorithms

Control algorithms regulate how machines behave in response to commands and sensor information.

They help maintain stability, precision and appropriate responses to environmental changes.

Control engineering is especially important when intelligent systems interact with moving objects or people.

18. Energy-Efficient Hardware

Physical AI systems often operate under limitations involving battery capacity, heat and available power.

Energy-efficient processors and electronic components can improve operating time and reduce power consumption.
